In this product review, we’re talking about “ConfettiPage”.

About the product

It lets you add fun, animated confetti effects to your website without needing any coding skills.

Just customize the look to generate a code, then copy the code, and finally paste it into your site for embedding.

Once in action, you can see tiny pieces of coloured papers bursting all over your screen digitally – creating a sense of joy and accomplishment for your visitors.

How it works

1. Visit the website  and click “Add confetti to your page”

2. Enter the URL of your page and click “Choose confetti colors”

On the left panel, users can pick the colors of the confetti they want to appear on their site. They can add or remove colors using the plus and minus icons and use the hex codes to set specific brand or theme colors. Clicking “Surprise me!” reveals random color combo.

3. Once your preferred colour combination is set, click “Next” to choose animation.

Visiting this step, users can pick how the confetti behaves on their website. They can choose from four animation styles –  Rain, Fireworks, Pop, or Spray, each of them offers a different visual effect.

Below that, the Position grid lets you control where the confetti comes from (top, bottom, center, corners, etc.).

4. Once done, users can click “Choose Density” to customize the overall experience further.

They can adjust two main settings: density (how much confetti falls) and size (how big the confetti pieces are).

Once everything is done, users have to click ‘Publish’

5. In this step, users can chooses how to install the confetti on their website.

They can either get a free confetti code that includes a watermark or opt for a paid version without a watermark by upgrading to a plan. Once they are done making a choice, they get the code to add to their website.

To get your the code, they need to enter their email address, and the code will be sent directly to their inbox.

6. Embedding the confetti animation is simple.

After getting the code, users need to paste it into their preferred page. For example, in WordPress, users can go to the page editor, then add a “Custom HTML” block, and paste the code there.

ConfettiPage offers step-by-step installation instructions for a wide range of platforms.

Use cases

Website owners can use the confetti effects to celebrate user actions such as form submissions, successful purchases, newsletter signups, completed surveys etc.

SaaS platforms can trigger confetti when a user completes onboarding steps, unlocks new features or achieves milestones.

E-commerce stores can use it for checkout success pages or special offers.

Educators or course platforms can enhance quiz completions, certificate awards or course progress milestones.

Confetti can also boost engagement during live events, webinars, giveaways or product launches.

Limitations

The free version includes a “ConfettiPage.com” watermark on the animation.

Users must provide an email address to get the embed code. This may disappoint users seeking immediate or anonymous use.

Overall impression

There are obvious limitations in it and you need to upgrade to overcome them, but overall, the product seems to do the job it is expected to: Add a festive touch to your site with no code. We especially liked the level of customization it can achieve.

While you are customizing, the preview on the right updates in real time, allowing you to see how your chosen style and direction will look. This makes design decisions quicker, and confident.

What’s happening?

At the I/O, Google announced the launch of “AI Mode” in Search. Presently available in the US, and accessible in a separate tab, the newly-added feature reaffirms Google’s standing on AI and is expected to change how we have traditionally interacted with search.

In AI mode, users find 100% AI answers – similar to those of AI Overviews; albeit with some striking or subtle differences, such as in interface, citations, tone, and focus. Your search query returns a detailed AI-generated answer with, if possible, bullet points, images, structured instructions, and citations. Your search may also trigger suggested follow-up questions, with answers similar to or richer than early results in tone and format.

The traditional search will remain alongside AI mode, and users may choose which interface to follow: whether the traditional search with blue links, now spearheaded by AI Overviews, or an entirely AI-powered search.

While experts have conflicting opinions about the efficacy of this feature – with many fearing that it could drastically reduce the value of organic search results and further diminish already dwindling traffic – others opine that it could allow websites to be discovered in two ways at once.

If your content is strong, you can appear in AI-generated answers and in the regular SERPs.

Analysis and speculation on how publishers & SEOs should adapt:

Ever since AI Overviews were introduced, website owners focusing on TOFU content have reported significant or noticeable drops in their organic traffic count. With Google now appearing to be adamant about AI, content and SEO strategists should start to (if they haven’t already) rethink their approach.

First of all, it’s crucial to publish content that offers depth, originality, and unique insights. The key is to understand and integrate elements that AI summaries generally struggle to replicate. Mid- and bottom-funnel content (in-depth guides, case studies, product comparisons, and UGC) should become more commonplace. These formats have been around for quite some time, but their importance has never been more relevant.

Then, developing a known brand authority and trust through thought leadership content can also help your content get the attention it deserves.

Thirdly, diversification stands unchallenged today. Think of newsletters, gated content resources, relationship building, and community engagement. This is to reduce dependency on Google alone.

Additionally, pay sufficient attention to structured data and schema markup, as they can increase AI mentions.

As far as measurement is concerned, metrics such as time on page and scroll depth will become very important to determine your overall content value.

The good old SEO tactics are not fully gone yet because the blue links are still here, but they reside in a separate interface and are challenged by AI. So, it’s time to be ready to optimize for AI experiences because who knows, a fully AI-powered search landscape may be only a few years away.

Also, since the landscape is favoring an AI future, it is important to adapt and evolve. Using AI tools wherever possible remains key – however, of course, with sufficient and legible human oversight.

What’s happening?

In a big Workspace reveal at its annual I/O event yesterday, Google announced that it is rolling out real-time speech translation in Google Meet. The new feature works in near real-time with low latency while preserving the speaker’s voice, tone, and expressions in the translated language.

During a video call, attendees will still hear a faint version of the original speaker’s speech and the translated voiceover will follow, creating an immersive interaction for everyone involved. Interestingly, only one active attendee needs to be subscribed to the paid plan for the feature to work for all.

Analysis (Benefits, Use cases & Some Downsides)

You have used Google text translations, but with AI speech translation, communication is going to be a lot simpler, more accessible, and easier to understand.

It will allow speakers to communicate flawlessly in their own native language, and listeners get the message in their own.

The move will remove communication barriers in international video meetings, and attendees participating from different countries with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds can join in natural conversations without needing an interpreter.

The latency of this feature is said to be very low, which means multiple attendees can talk and work in real-time.

As far as its use cases are concerned, we can imagine plenty of them. For example, global sales representatives can communicate with their international clients in their own native languages.

Teachers can teach multilingual students in real time. Doctors and patients who speak different languages can communicate clearly during remote consultations without needing an interpreter.

In international crisis management, where delay is dangerous, teams can communicate quickly. YouTubers can interview guests from any country and broadcast with live translated audio. And older family members who don’t speak the same language as their younger generations can now have more connected conversations.

This important development indicates how technology is reshaping the nature of communication. While fewer or perhaps no moments will be lost in translation, it may have some downsides too.

It could reduce the need for interpreters, who may have seen opportunities in remote meetings.

The perception that English is the standard language of choice for professional communication may be further blurred and the need to learn new languages may not seem necessary in the first place.

Google’s AI speech translation can only translate between English and Spanish presently, while plan are in place to accommodate other languages in the coming weeks.
